Poster Presentation and Abstract Submission Guidelines

We are calling for research abstracts for the World Federation of Athletic Training & Therapy (WFATT) 2019 World Congress Tokyo. We invite abstracts in themes of “Athletic Training” and “Exercise for Total Health”. 

 

There are two categories of abstract submissions; (1) peer reviewed track abstract and (2) non- peer reviewed track abstract submissions. Submissions must be made via email (please download and review “Abstract Submission Guidelines” below). 

 

  1. Peer reviewed track: abstracts must be an original research or original case study. Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplemental issue of the Journal of Athletic Training. 

  2. Non-peer reviewed track: non-original research or non-original case study (i.e. a research or case study that has been presented and/or published previously) may be submitted. Non-peer review track abstracts will be presented only for the purpose of information or knowledge exchanges among participants in the congress. Abstracts in this track will not be published in the supplemental issue of the Journal of Athletic Training. If the research has been presented and/or published previously, the work must be clearly cited as previous work. 

 

The official language at the conference is English. All abstracts must be submitted in English.

 

※The deadline for abstract submission has been extended from February 2nd to March 2nd, 2019.

Abstract submission deadline: Saturday, March 2nd, 2019

Submission method: Submit abstract via email to jatoresearch@jato-trainer.org. Please clearly state the abstract category in the email (e.g., peer reviewed track or non-peer reviewed track). 

Abstract acceptance notification: We will notify the corresponding author by early March, 2019.

【Poster Presentation】

Once accepted, you will be assigned into smaller groups by the study theme and/or type of research. Presenters in each group must stand by the poster during the assigned session for 25~35 minutes to answer questions from session participants.

 

Location: Convention Hall, Makuhari Messe

Poster Set-Up Time:         Saturday, May 11, 2019. 8:00~11:40.

Poster Presentation:         Sunday, May 12, 2019. 14:00~15:15.*

Poster Removal Time:     Sunday, May 12, 2019. 15:15 ~15:30.

 

*We encourage presenters to also stand by their posters during the lunch breaks to interact with participants in the poster area. 

 

Poster Size: No larger than portrait A0 (841mm W × 1189mm H; 33.1” W × 46.8” H) 

All accepted abstract presenters are required to register for the conference (registration information TBA). The official language at the conference is English. All poster presentations must be prepared in English.
